In Bloom

Artist

Arya Muthukumar & Natalie Cheng

Through reading testimonies and articles, we saw how difficult it was for children in South Sudan to receive an education. Due to the hardships they face, receiving even a basic education is almost impossible for many. The hibiscus is found on bulk amount all over the Sudan. In some ways, the flower can be seen as a symbol of Life, courage and rapid growth of the nation. We wanted to show the significance of the opportunity which La Salle Secondary School would provide the children, and how education will be within reach for many. Hence, the flowers represent the children who are able to have an life-changing opportunity of an education. They mirror how education could possibly allow children to bloom into their full potential.
