The arts have always played a pivotal role in my life. They bring me happiness and have made me grow a lot as a person. At the same time, I recognise how I am extremely fortunate to receive an all-rounded education that has allowed me to find my passions—the arts. In the same way, I hope that by receiving an education, the children of South Sudan will have such an opportunity to find what makes them happy. Though this is very much a personal artwork that shows what receiving an education has done for me, I hope that it illustrates how education could broaden a child’s mind and enhance their lives. Through this painting, I wish to give them hope and good luck.
